dct:description "<para>This is a complete dataset about Carabid beetles in Italian forests (Apennines, Alps), from 1977 to 1993 in natural environments located in low- and mid-altitude between 150 m and 1840 m a.s.l.</para><para>The data have been obtained by curation of grey literature, then they have been standardized with the Darwin Core standard. Carabid abundances have been estimated for the first time for the work of De Felici et al. (1995), as well as some information about the work of Brandmayr and Pizzolotto (1990) have been completed and published for the first time.</para><para>Data were retrieved from old literature, where for every paper we do have the final table, and we know the methods applied to get the table, while there is no information about the intermediate steps, as e.g. the intermediate tables linked to each sampling period.</para>" ;
